The Story of Josh
Josh Paul was an incredible man, a wonderful father, husband, brother, son and friend. Throughout his life, his passions for music, Houston sports, health and fitness, and education were clear to those who knew him. He had a gift for making everyone in the room feel seen and heard. He never met a stranger. He stood up for you, when you needed it most. And, he inspired countless students – as well as friends – to believe in themselves and their future. To know him was to love him.
Joshua Paul Schwarz made his debut on Saturday, February 28, 1981, in Houston, Texas as the first-born son to Don and Delia Schwarz. Excitement was in the air as his parents and grandparents gathered around to welcome him into the world. From the start, he was a happy little one.
He grew up on the southside of Houston, and attended schools in the Pasadena Independent School District, before heading to college at The University of Houston.
In 2005, Josh Paul became a father. From day one, he took on this role with extreme pride and plans for great adventures. He wanted to show his son the world, all the possibilities, and teach him everything he could. From trips to the zoo, to sporting events and visiting with family, Josh and Dylan were two peas in a pod.
