Amy is a teacher in Clear Creek Independent School District. She is committed to providing children with a foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Amy creates lesson plans weekly, plans and collaborates with other teachers daily, continues professional development, and maintains professional relationships with colleagues and student families.
After graduating from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Amy has spent the last 11 years in education. Her professional career started with teaching in a private school for one year. She then accepted a job within the Dickinson Independent School District. There, she taught for three years. During that time, she was able to expand her professional development, obtain her certificate for GT Awareness, and had the opportunity to become Team Lead. In this role, Amy managed a team of five colleagues, hosted weekly team meetings, and maintained and relayed communication from office staff and the school district. Amy then made a move to the Clear Creek Independent School District. This is where she has spent her last seven years. During this time, Amy has obtained her ESL Certification, been a member of the Math Curriculum Planning Team, and has been on the Character Cadre for four years; supporting many classrooms as they plan, develop and implement character and core values. In 2019, Amy also had the honor of being nominated for teacher of the year.
Amy met Josh at the beginning of her freshman year at South Houston High School. They were both members of the Mighty Trojan Marching Band and mingled in the company of many mutual friends. Amy is married to Jereme, who was also a friend of Josh’s in the Class of 1999. Amy and Jereme have been married for 19 years and share two children together. Amy and Josh shared a love for teaching, and a passion for education. She also has a strong connection to The Josh Paul Foundation’s causes, as she has lost both of her parents to cancer.
